Kavango Living Museum

Since 2005 we have been looking for a project group that would like to represent and depict the fascinating culture of the Kavango within a living museum. Until now none of our motivational efforts bore fruit. This could however change soon with the help of  a group of young Kavangos from the language group of the Mbunza. Since 2008 they are develping the idea of a Living Museum.

In November 2009 the Kavango group got official permission from Rundu to built the Living Museum at a very special place at the Okavango river. Since then the Kavango are busy to organize traditional workshops to discover the old traditional cultur and to develop their Mbunza Living Museum.It looks like the Museum could open in 2011.
